Trek permits are not required for this trek so, unlike the Inca Trail, we can accept booking right up until 1 week before the trek departure date depending on availability within the group. Since train tickets are required for the section between Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes, the further in advance you make your trek reservation, the easier it will be for us to obtain train tickets for you. Please do not wait until you arrive in Cusco to make a trek reservation unless you have already booked your train tickets.
The above trek prices are based on the following third party costs which are outside of our control:
1: Machu Picchu entrance fee is about $40.00 USD (There is a 50% discount for students with ISIC cards and children <16yrs). The government reserves the right to increase the entrance fee at any time.
2: Included in the price of the trek is the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo on the Backpacker Economy service which currently is priced at $31.00 USD per person each way.
