Sleeping Bags ALTUS

 The ability of insulation and the comfort temperature in a sleeping bag depends on three fundamental characteristics:

1. QUALITY OF RAW MATERIALS

Of all the raw materials, the most important is the filling, being one that is better able to retain more heat.
There are stuffed with down and polyester fiber. First, if high-down percentage (90% down, 10% pen) and high weight, has a higher heat output but low life expectancy, whereas the polyester fiber has a low maintenance and long life.

2. STRUCTURE AND DESIGN
 

As the bag is structured according to the standard profile of individuals (type mo-mia), the sac isolate better and if it has side walls evenly distribute warm air around the user.

3. SIZE OF USER

The complexion of the person changing the temperature of comfort of a jacket in a substantial way. The human body is a heat generator at a constant temperature of 36 º ± 1 º. A small person will occupy less volume inside the bag and therefore will have a greater volume of air to be heated.
A person of medium build / large occupy a larger volume inside the bag and therefore to not be an excessive volume of air it will reach a higher temperature.
A very large person will complexion small volume of air to heat so it does not get warm either before it has escaped abroad.
NOTE: The user in terms of complexion can select your own sleeping bag that needs to pay attention to temperatures Manufacturer certifies under official laboratory tests.

4. TEMPERATURE

The hot air inside the bag, because the human body temperature, will escape abroad being renovated by the cold air more dense than before.
The structure of the bag and the size of the individual condition the rate of heating and drain in a continuous convection process.

All our models have been tested according to standard EN 13537 THELMA LABORATORIES in Norway in order to measure the thermal insulation and therefore the temperatures that can be used.
